about

Our Twenties is primarily about the general train wreck that was myself and all my friends adolescent period! I was sitting down to write a tune about one of my closest friends (sorry Pat!) and noticed that at some point we'd all suffered essentially a total mental breakdown, some large, some not so large but all of them resulted in acting like a total bellend for a while, sorting out our shit and then moving on to bigger and better things. In layman's terms the tune is simply about how hard it is to become an 'adult', you gotta figure out what that means to you, gotta struggle, you gotta screw up and hope that on the other end you still vaguely resemble a human being.

lyrics

The clock took a break
So you're never late
Time would never stop you
From making the same
Mistakes you made
We watch you fade
Captivated
Getting worse frame by frame

I’ll wait for you
The wait
Its done you in
This wait
Its killing you
And who the hell knows
Just where will you go?

Wake up tired and miserable
Scared to death that you'll miss it all
A borrowed smile will go some way
But it won’t follow you from place to place

I’m not a fuck up he said
But I’m just fucked up right now
This life has messed with my head
I think I’ve fucked my life up

I’m not a fuck up
I’m just fucked up
Yeah
